It is already the second year since Puppet Art figures’ International Union’s Armenian Centre UNIMA-Armenia organizes an International Festival of Puppet Theatres titled “Toumanyanian Tale Day” in Lori region’s village Dsegh. The idea of the festival was initiated by UNIMA-Armenia in order to promote the creative education among the younger generation. The initiative was supported by the Open Public Institute’s Armenian Aid Fund. The foundation traditionally sponsors festival within the framework of its project geared towards the encouragement of cultural life in the regions of the Republic of Armenia. Mrs. Bella Qocharyan, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Poghosyan, Yerevan Centre’s Municipality, “Grand Candy, “Zigzag”, “Kilikia” companies, Jinishyan Memorial Fund have greatly supported to the organization and made the festival happen. 
Within the framework of the intercultural dialogue in 2008 by the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia and Belgium’s Armenian Cultural Centre “Araqs” an exhibition of Armenian and Belgian painters titled “Dialogue” was opened from September 2-6, 2008 at the State National Art Museum in Yerevan. Belgian painters and “Araqs” centre’s president were among the attendees of the opening ceremony.
More than 50 paintings, pastels, aquarelles of 7 Belgian and Armenian-Belgian modern painters and creative paintings of 2 Armenian painters: Eduard Khanoyan and Levon Aghamanoukyan were presented at the exhibition. The event started with the presentation of a film which told about province Liege in Belgium. The film was presented by Hermine Azaryan, the President of “Araqs” Armenian Cultural Centre.

Within the framework of the festival conductor Fabio Mastangelo (Italy), soloists Tamaki Kavakubo – violin (the USA), Alexander Gindin – piano (Russia), Karmen Tosunyan – violin (Armenia), Yuri Jislin alt (the Great Britain), Karen Qocharyan – violoncello (Armenia), Julia Fisher – violin (Germany), Alexander Sitkovetski – violin (the Great Britain), Alexander Chaushyan – violoncello (the Great Britain), Svetlana Navasardyan – piano (Armenia), Fillip Kasar – piano (France), conductor Dimout Poppen alt (Germany), Ashley Voss – piano (the Great Britain), conductor Sandra McMaster, the mezzo soprano (Northern Ireland), Levon Chilinkiryan – violin, Ian Fountain – piano (the Great Britain), Daishin Kashimoto – violin (Japan) and ect will be performing at the A. Kachatryan Concert Hall and Philharmonic House named after Komitas.
